Model 3 Performance Prototype Spotted on Road in Germany
Tesla's upgraded Model 3 Performance /Ludicrous prototype has been photographed being road-tested in Germany (I can not confirm where the original picuture come from, but i wonder why the pictures are so mushy). It's likely that it will be launched in Europe ahead of the U.S., as was the case with the refreshed Model 3 (both standard/long-range models), which went on sale in select markets in China and Europe in early September of last year, and won't be officially available until January 10, 2024 stateside.
The Performance version did not go on sale with the standard version last year, and recent rumors indicate that the Performance version will continue to use a front and rear dual-motor setup, with a combined power of 618 horsepower and a range of 430 kilometers, or be called the Model 3 Ludicrous, and will go into production in March of this year and go on sale in the first half of the year.
What's more, the parameters of the suspected Tesla Model 3 high-performance version have recently been exposed on social media platforms. The front motor of the new car is still the 3D3 model, with a maximum power of 158 kW, while the rear motor has been updated to the 4D2 model, with a maximum power of 303 kW, and it's worth noting that the rear motor of the Tesla Model S Plaid is the 5D2 model. Based on the above performance parameters, it is expected that the new Model 3 High Performance will have a combined power of 454 kW, or 618 horsepower; compared to the old model, the new car will have an increase of 113 horsepower.
Some also said that the new Model 3 Performance will have the following exclusive styling features:
- A specially designed and exclusive front bumper
- New 20-inch wheels
- Plaid badging on the rear
- Red brake calipers
- New rear wing
- More enveloping sports seats
The news has flooded automotive forums and social media, and it's hard to tell if it's true or not, but it's a good indication of the anticipation for the model 3 Performance version.that's what we know for sure, that there will definitely be a model 3 performance version of the car.
