Model Y is Going to Increase the Price AGAIN

Recently Tesla Model Y is going to increase the price again, but only in some countries in Europe and America. Tesla's official x-account for Europe and the Middle East announced that it will raise the price of its Model Y electric car in several European countries on March 22, by about 2,000 euros or the equivalent in local currency. Meanwhile, Tesla announced on Friday, local time, that starting April 1, the price of the Model Y sold in the United States will increase by $1,000. This will be the second price hike in a month for the Model Y. On March 1, Tesla raised the price of the Model Y rear-wheel-drive and long-range models by $1,000 to $43,990 (currently about 317,000 yuan) and $48,990, respectively.

For comparison, Tesla China's Model Y costs 258,900 yuan for the rear-wheel-drive version, 299,900 yuan for the all-wheel-drive long-range version, and 363,900 yuan for the performance version, and the official website offers an 8,000 yuan insurance subsidy.
Tesla CEO Musk once responded to a post on X about the announced price hike by saying, "This is the basic dilemma of manufacturing: factories need to produce continuously to be efficient, but consumer demand is seasonal."
