Common light problems

The common problems with car bulbs

The car lighting system is an important part of ensuring driving safety, so car owners often encounter problems with car lighting. Here are some common problems and their solutions:

  1. Insufficient light brightness

Reason: aging bulb, unstable voltage, poor line contact.

Solution: Replace new bulbs, check whether the generator output voltage is normal, and ensure that the line connection is tight.

Halogen Bulb
  1. Light flickering or unstable

Reason: poor line contact, loose bulbs, electronic control module failure.

Solution: Tighten the bulbs, check and repair the line connection, and replace the electronic control module if necessary.

  1. Asymmetric light or incorrect illumination angle

Reason: Improper adjustment of the lamp, collision causing the lamp to move.

Solution: Re-adjust the position of the lamp, make corrections or replace damaged parts if necessary.

  1. Improper use of fog lights

Reason: Not knowing when to use fog lights.

Solution: Understand and comply with local traffic regulations. Fog lights should be used in low visibility conditions to avoid interfering with other drivers' vision under normal weather conditions.

Light Problems
  1. Bulbs frequently burn out

Reason: Overvoltage, bulb quality problems, bulbs not installed correctly.

Solution: Check the circuit for short circuits, ensure that the bulbs meet the specifications and are installed correctly.

  1. LED or xenon lamps do not work properly

Reason: incorrect installation, power supply problem, damaged bulb or ballast.

Solution: Install correctly according to the instructions, check the power supply voltage, and replace damaged components if necessary.

  1. Insufficient light coverage

Reason: Improper bulb selection, lamp design defects.

Solution: Choose the right type of bulb, consider replacing it with a brighter bulb or adding auxiliary lighting equipment.

  1. Inappropriate light color

Reason: Personal preference, mismatched bulb color temperature.

Solution: Choose a bulb with the right color temperature, such as warm white (2700K-3000K) or cool white (4000K-6500K).

  1. Water in the lamp

Reason: Aging seal ring, damaged lamp.

Solution: Replace the aged seal ring, repair or replace the damaged lamp.

Halogen Light
  1. Regulatory compliance issues

Reason: The modified lights do not meet local traffic regulations.

Solution: Understand and comply with local regulations to ensure that the color, brightness and angle of the light meet the regulations.

When encountering these problems, first ensure safety, and then take appropriate measures to solve the problem according to the specific situation. If you cannot solve it yourself, it is recommended to seek help from professionals
